Machine Operator (Injection moulding/ Sweep Bender) – Acacia Ridge

Pipemakers Australia is a leading manufacturer and supplier of PVC and PE piping to the construction, mining and building industries.

An exciting opportunity exists for Injection Moulding Machine operators to join our team in Acacia Ridge, QLD.

In this role, you will be responsible for the plastic injection moulding machinery, tools and equipment, ensuring it operates safely and efficiently. This position is primarily a rotating 12-hour shift roster, 4 days on 4 days off (2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts) or Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, depending on the production schedule.  

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to help others.
• Working as a team for injection mould changeovers and maintenance with minimum downtime. (Using both an overhead crane or forklift for die changes)
• Setting injection moulding parameters to machinery and robots as per the given instructions.
• Follow quality control procedures.
• Stack product post-production.
• Working with the PVC palletiser and sweep bending machine.
• Ensuring adherence to the company’s EH&S policies and procedures
• Reporting concerns to the Die setter supervisor and the team leader.
• Complete any other tasks that have been allocated to you by the supervisor or management.

Skills and experience:

• Physical endurance, with the ability to work on shift
• Ability to multi-task in a quick setting
• Similar experience in will be highly regarded.
• Ability to set injection moulding parameters will be highly regarded.
• Experience in the PVC injection moulding process will be highly regarded.
• A current forklift licence will be highly regarded.  
• Strong communication skills within a collaborative team working environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity with an attractive remuneration package which is negotiable based on your qualifications and experience. You must have an unrestricted Australian work permit.
